and five becomes six

I have plenty of excuses for not posting anything in over a month and a half...and I think every single one of them is perfectly acceptable and valid. However, this is probably the most important of them all:

Graysen Calder Watchman was born on 23 May 2010 at 1:47 AM (yep--2 weeks early and a happy surprise to everyone involved)! He was 8 lbs 8.5 oz, 21 inches long, and looks so much like his siblings we can't tell who he favors more.

Labor was a bit intense, lasting about 8.5 hours following the very first contraction. I was expecting less than 3 hours since the last two (albeit induced) were 6.5 hrs or shorter. No worries, though--it was much better after getting that blessed epidural. :)

It's been a whirlwind of a week, trying to get acclimated and grab sleep here and there. Thank heavens for Raegan and my parents (and sister and friends) helping out. The kids are enamored with Graysen, just as we are--even if Finley and I are now outnumbered even more!
